Apologies for a brief absence. In the next few weeks I’ll be posting here a review of Fr. Elias Friedman’s book, Jewish Identity, focusing in particular on Fr. Friedman’s reflections on Jewish suffering and the Holocaust.

In the meantime, I just wanted to remind all of you that I am still looking for comments from your experience on the topic of how intermarriage with Gentile Christians affect the continuity of Jewish-Christian identity. Here was my original “call for papers.” Please drop me a note (groomsfamilyblog at gmail dot com)!

About The Groom's Family

I was born in Soviet Russia and grew up in Israel. I was baptized Orthodox Christian in 2006. Today my husband and I live in Northern Virginia. I would love to hear from you, so please leave a comment!

Nice! I’ve been meaning to read that one, so your review will serve for me as something of an introduction to Fr. Friedman’s thought.

  2. Sounds like an interesting book, I will have to check it out!

I have been reading Michael Wyschogrod’s work fairly intensively lately, and it is fascinating…have you read anything by him? If not, I’d love to hear what you think!
